Fit India Week 6.0 Sports Festival Celebrated
Under the guidance of the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Odisha, the "Fit India Week 6.0" Sports Festival was celebrated at Panchayat College. The event was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Nakul Seth. Organized in collaboration with the Drama and Sports Parliament, the festival aimed at engaging high school students in various sports competitions, including kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton, 100-meter race, and slow cycling.
In the boys' badminton group, Shravan Samal and Nihar Garatia secured first place, Simon Sahu and Subhranshu Shekhar Kumar came second, while Dhananjay Padhan and Akash Sahu secured third place. In the girls' group, Aishwarya Pandey bagged first place, followed by Arati Sika in second and Mausumi Dehuri in third.
In the slow cycling competition for girls, Arati Thapa clinched first place, Aishwarya Ray came second, and Bindi Nag took third. In the 100-meter race for boys, Ayushman Garatia claimed first position, Jeet Garuda secured second, and Rason Sahu came third. For the girls, Julie Bag took first place, Sipra Sahu came second, and Jhuma Pradhan finished third.
The sports activities were conducted under the supervision of Physical Education Teacher Shri Tanmaya Sahu, while commentary during the event was provided by Professor Ajit Kumar Sahu.
Students who excelled in various competitions will be awarded during the upcoming college annual sports festival, as announced by the Nodal Officer and Assistant Professor Pankajini Ray.
The festival concluded with the presence of dignitaries including Chairman Professor Dr. Seth, Sports Parliament President Professor Subal Meher, and Administrative Head Professor Dr. Umesh Chandra Mahapatra, who led the "Fit India Week" pledge.
Assistant Professors Dr. Bibhuti Bhushan Satpathy, Manabhanjan Panigrahi, Kavita Sa, Chandarani Besen, Eveline Namita Ba, Dr. Suresh Kumar Majhi, Dileswar Sahu, Prabhas Kumar Bhoi, Anindita Nanda, Krishnakanta Lahangi, Dr. Pushpitarani Behera, Jharana Biswal, Basanti Meher, Roshni Tirki, Benazir Khatun, Riti Khedia, Gajendra Rana, Archana Nayak, Dolly Sahu, and Hrudanand Bhue significantly contributed to the success of the event.
