On the second day of the IIMUN Conference, Session 1 witnessed an exciting and highly engaging IPL Auction simulation, where students got a real-time experience of team management and strategic decision-making.
The auction hall was filled with energy as participants, divided into different teams, actively bid for players following a structured process. Each team focused on budget management, player value, and smart strategies, creating a competitive environment similar to real IPL auctions.
Students showcased different approaches, with some teams opting for aggressive bidding while others maintained a cautious strategy. Key player transactions included Ajay Mandal, Anweswar Mandal, Anukul Roy, Ankush Bains, and Dinesh Karthik, reflecting the intense competition among teams.
The chairperson and organizers ensured smooth conduct of the session, maintaining discipline and fairness throughout the auction. Participants demonstrated strong coordination, quick decision-making, and active involvement.
Interestingly, the session also highlighted increasing participation of girls in cricket-related activities, reflecting a positive change in mindset and inclusivity.
Despite challenges like budget limitations and pressure during bidding, students managed to perform effectively, gaining valuable insights into teamwork, financial planning, and strategic thinking.
The IPL Auction simulation proved to be a perfect blend of learning and excitement, offering students practical exposure and enhancing their confidence, making Session 1 a major highlight of Day 2.
