A state-level drawing and rangoli competition was organized today by Kala Niketan Chitra Kala Anusthan at the Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir (Odia Department), Bargarh. The event commenced with the chief guest Shri Ranjan Bishwal, Principal of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir (Odia Department), and Shri Dilip Behera, Principal of Hindi High School, offering prayers and garlanding the idol of Goddess Saraswati.
Prominent dignitaries, including Sardar Preetam Singh (Chairperson), Shri Pratul Chandra Tripathi (Editor), Shri Navakrushna Mishra (Vice-Chairperson), Shri Kamal Joshi (Treasurer), Shri Nilambar Meher (Coordinator), and Shri Abhimanyu Bhosagar (President), were present to support and oversee the event. Other notable attendees included Ramachandra Thakur, Prabhakar Patra, Sunanda Hati, Sulochana Mahapatra, Abhinash Gupta, Manoj Jena, Diksha Pradhan, Shishir Barik, Sujan Seth, Vikash Mishra, Khushboo Sharma, Chandrabhanu Deep, Sunil Agrawal, and Shubham Meher.
The competition was held in two segments:
Morning session (9:00 AM to 11:00 AM): For students from Grade 5 to college level.
Midday session (11:30 AM to 1:30 PM): For students from nursery to Grade 4.
Separate rangoli competitions were conducted for sub-junior, junior, and senior categories. Over 900 students participated enthusiastically, representing various schools across the state. Approximately 30 teachers from different schools contributed to the event's success by offering their guidance and support.
This artistic gathering showcased the creativity and talent of young minds, reinforcing the importance of art in education.
