Vikas Residential School Student Pragnan Kar Selected as Young Astronomer, to Visit ISRO
Pragnan Kar, a Class 10 student from Vikas Residential School in Bargarh, Odisha, has been selected as a "Young Astronomer" to visit the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Among over 80,000 students from across Odisha, Pragnan's exceptional performance earned him this prestigious opportunity. The ISRO visit is scheduled for February 13, 2024.
Outstanding Achievement in State-Level Competition
Pragnan excelled in the 18th edition of the "Young Astronomer Talent Search 2024," organized by the Odisha Government and Tata Steel. Competing against students statewide, he secured a spot among the top 30 participants, demonstrating his remarkable talent and earning the privilege to visit ISRO.
Recognition by the Chief Minister
Pragnan was honored by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar. The Chief Minister congratulated him on his achievement and extended best wishes for his ISRO visit.
