The Constitution: The Strength of Our Nation and Democracy – Reflections on National Constitution Day
On the occasion of National Constitution Day, an inspiring event was held at Rana Pratap School, Bargarh, where the speakers emphasized the pivotal role of the Constitution in establishing equality in society and strengthening democracy. They described it as the backbone of our nation and the essence of democracy. The program was presided over by Principal Sudeep Kumar Rath, while the esteemed former Principal Kapil Kathar graced the occasion as the chief guest.
In his heartfelt address, Kapil Kathar described the Constitution as the voice of the weak, the support for the helpless, and the foundational strength of our nation and democracy. The event began with a tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, as attendees reverently garlanded his statue. Adding a sense of patriotism to the gathering, students presented soulful songs that resonated with the spirit of the day.
Distinguished guests included Sudarshan Barik, a senior member of the Parent-Teacher Association, along with science teacher Neelima Pradhan and teacher Bharti Seth. Several other dignitaries also graced the occasion. Each speaker shed light on the importance and relevance of the Constitution in today's world, emphasizing its timeless value in guiding the nation's progress.
The event also featured a speech competition, where students passionately expressed their thoughts, highlighting the ideals enshrined in the Constitution. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by teacher Jyotsna Tripathi, leaving everyone inspired and filled with pride for their nation’s democratic foundation.
This celebration of Constitution Day not only honored the spirit of the Constitution but also reminded everyone present of their duty to uphold its principles with love and care for the society we wish to build.
