Sanghamitra Group Performs Last Rites of Unidentified Person
Bargarh District: A compassionate act of humanity was displayed by the Sanghamitra Group as they performed the last rites of an unidentified person. The deceased, Kamal Prasad Yadav, a resident of Orampur in Jharsuguda, had been living in a rest shelter near the bus stand in Ambabhona for several days, earning a livelihood by stitching paddy sacks in the village.
On Sunday, Kamal Prasad suddenly passed away. The Ambabhona police made extensive efforts to contact his family but were unable to trace any relatives. Following protocol, the police registered a case of unnatural death, conducted a post-mortem, and preserved the body in a freezer.
Today, in the presence of Ambabhona police, members of the Sanghamitra Group, led by social worker Tarini Sahu, performed the deceased’s last rites. This noble act by the Sanghamitra Group has set an inspiring example of selfless service and humanity.
