Burla Kendriya Vidyalaya Celebrates 62nd Foundation Day and 9th Annual Sports Day
The 62nd Foundation Day and 9th Annual Sports Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Burla were celebrated with great enthusiasm. The event was presided over by Principal Smt. Susmita Pradhan. Renowned international sportsperson Santosh Kumar Pradhan graced the occasion as the chief guest. Retired teachers Somdutta Shastri and Brahmani Mishra were honored guests at the event.
The program began with a rendition of the Panchpran Geet by primary students under the guidance of music teacher Monika Dadu. The event also featured performances by teachers, including folk dances, skits on literacy, and presentations on initiatives like the Digital Library, Eco Club, National Innovation Campaign, and Science and Mathematics exhibitions. Regional dances from various states and yoga demonstrations added a cultural flair to the celebrations.
A combined parade, led by student leader Jogita Bani, honored the chief guest with a salute. Students who excelled in various competitions were awarded for their achievements. The teaching and non-teaching staff of the school, including the sports teachers, played a key role in organizing the event.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by teacher Madhusudan Pradhan. The event was a resounding success, reflecting the collaborative efforts of the entire Kendriya Vidyalaya Burla community.
