Bhubaneswar on High Alert after Terrorist Makes DGP Conference a Target
Bhubaneswar, November 28, 2024 – After being threatened by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the city of Bhubaneswar was placed on high alert ahead of the DGP conference that is planned to take place in the near future and is expected to include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval among its guests.
Incident Overview: One day before the 1st All India DGP/IGP conference, an individual who is the head of the prohibited organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), released a statement full of threats and attempts to ruin the conference. Pannun invited his fans in a video address to throw on masks and take shelter in temples and hotels in Bhopal so as to spoil the conference1.
Security Measures: The authorities have undertaken a range of security props to avoid an security breach. Several places in the Capital have been prohibited from flying and there are no drone zones.
